Description/Job Summary

Overview

This position is responsible for safely performing Ground & Lawn Maintenance duties as assigned by the Project Manager. Quality service is expected to be provided to customers at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job as it pertains to this position. Position also requires necessary assistance for custodial duties indoors; as needed and/or assigned by the Project Manager.  Duties include: Operate grounds and lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, weed & edge trimmer, gas blowers, tree trimmers, etc; Remove tree limbs, leaves, debris, etc. from grounds; Pressure wash concrete and/or buildings; Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure it functions properly; Maintain cleanliness and neatness of storage shed; Report supply needs and equipment that need replacing or repairing. 

Qualifications

  • Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract. 
  • One (1) year of related experience required. 
  • Understand oral and/or written instructions. 
  • Interact appropriately with customers and staff members. 
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.

Physical

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must to able to assist in lifting equipment and moving furniture when necessary and will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 75 pounds. 
  • May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place outdoors.
  • Will work with motorized and/or electrical equipment as it relates to grounds & lawn maintenance.
  • Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements.
  • Schedules are subject to change. Will require working early morning, mid morning, afternoon and/or evening hours as well as weekends and Holidays depending on the need of the grounds, time of day, and season of the year.
