The Supervisor is responsible for assisting management in the oversight and management of assigned governmental contracts. This position is responsible for safely overseeing and performing duties as detailed in the PWS or other contracted services. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position. Must be able to perform the following duties. Duties may vary depending on contract specifications and building assignment. Supervise staff to ensure daily services are provided. Assist with job training for staff, including safety lessons from GCE training materials. Assist with site specific orientation and the training of all new employees in the safe and proper operations of equipment. Promote a safe work environment. Participate in and/or conduct safety meeting as required. Assist with distributing work assignments to employees. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with customers. Perform direct contract functions and/or labor as required.
May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. May work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon and/or evening hours as well weekends and Holidays.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 40 pounds. Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow shovels or snow plows.
