The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the oversight and management of assigned governmental contracts. This position is responsible for oversight and management of performing duties as detailed in the PWS or other contracted services. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position. Assist Project Manager in the daily operation of specific contract services delivered to customers in a timely and quality manner. Responsible for job training for staff, including safety lessons from LCI/GCE training materials. Orientate and train new employees in the safe and proper operations of equipment. Promote a safe work environment. Participate in and/or conduct safety meeting as required. Assist Project Manager in preparation of budgets and Quality Control planning. Distribute work assignments per contract requirements. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with customers. Perform direct contract functions and/or labor as required. Inform Project Manager of any workload changes and/or variations. Respond to customer complaints and special requests. Follow up with contract POC for service clarification. Oversee contract site Quality Control inspection program. Assist Project Manager in ensuring that all Service Contract Act (SCA) and/or Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements are met.
