Overview

The Sign Language Interpreter is responsible for performing American Sign Language (ASL) for GCE team members. The Sign Language Interpreter will provide interpreter services for GCE team members in group and individual settings to include GCE orientation, training, daily operations and team events. 

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain an active certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or through the National Association for the Deaf (NAD)
• Two (2) years of experience providing interpreter services to various individuals/audiences
• Ability to work within the guidelines established in the policies and procedures of the agency and assigned program division
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a public trust clearance or higher
• US Citizenship required

• Some travel may be required, up to 10% of the time.  The travel may be local or national and may be by car, rail, or air.
