Overview:

The Journeyman Analyst supports database administration of a TDSSe2 project. Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate and/or install database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation, and configuration management. Define and oversee database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation.Provide technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment. Advise applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases. Ensure efficient availability of data within adequate safeguards. Design and implement databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Use data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determine data storage and optimum storage requirements. Prepare system requirements, source analysis, and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements:

  • Education: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have experience gathering and evaluating technical source data and configuration management of such data into inter-related technical manuals and commodity manuals, including technical content analysis, data integration, and configuration management of data resulting from aircraft/equipment modifications required before and after modification data inclusion.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and experience in gathering data to facilitate process analysis and/or problem-solving.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Must have a demonstrated dependable attendance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have U.S. Person status, as required per government contract.
