This is an AbilityOne contract which requires most work hours must be performed by a Team Member with Significant Disabilities. Due to the program requirements, this requisition needs to be filled by a person that meets the AbilityOne criteria.

Overview

This position performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. 

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 1 year(s) related experience in classroom and/or Industrial/Commercial electrical field. 
• Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as, preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer terminals, visual inspection involving small defects and/or operation of machines. 
• Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. 
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and be insurable under the Center’s policy. 
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings as appropriate. 
• Must have a valid drivers license, good driving record and be insurable under the center’s policy. 
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics. 
• Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specific contract. 
• Safely perform essential functions described below. 

Phsycial Requirements

• May travel to and from various locations and building throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. May work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon and/or evening hours; as well as weekends and Holidays. 
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 40 pounds. Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
