Description/Job Summary

Overview

The Configuration Management Specialist will possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Provides configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.  Develops and produces mechanically based standard working and detail assembly drawings, using CAD system. Develops a complete set of documents. Coordinates with the Configuration Manager or Systems Engineer, as appropriate. Maintains Command's drawing library.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related Engineering field, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 - 8 years relevant industry experience.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U. S. Citizenship required per government contract.
