The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the kitchen daily operations. This position is responsible for oversight and management of performing duties for their assigned area. Quality customer service is expected to be provided to the customer at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position. Understand, prepare and complete galley worksheets. Assign cooks to prepare menu items while assuring all preparation and sanitation standards are met. Maintain inventory control of food products – unprepared and prepared. Provide on the job training for new cooks. Plan and conduct training sessions in areas of recipe conversion, galley worksheet, sanitation, proper equipment operation, safety and other related topics. Responsible for ordering food, bread, and milk for daily consumption. Conduct routine galley inspections. Assist in interviewing, selecting, and training employees to enhance productivity and efficiency of the work force. Manage employees so as to promote maximum productivity, achievement of program goals and favorable employee retention.
