The Quality and Training Specialist duties will include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to the quality and training initiatives at GCE's contract sites. The Quality and Training Specialist will be responsible for researching and implementing industry best practices.This position works directly with operations leadership to understand the lines of business needs; understands both the quality assurance and quality control functions as they relate to the respective lines of business; and, works with the contract site leadership to ensure both internal and external quality requirements are met. This role understands quality principles and, in conjunction with operations leadership, implements corrective actions and/or performance improvement initiatives. Also provides recommendations to operations leadership team, based on quality audit findings and uses established procedures and works independently in support of objectives.
Duties include: Develop service line specific SOPs, process documentation and training materials. Perform quality inspection validation (conduct random site quality inspections to ensure validity of site inspections). Conduct field root cause analyses for quality issues and make recommendations. Monitor corrective action plans (based on data trends). Perform internal audits. Serve as the GCE system administrator for the electronic Quality Control Inspection System. Assist management and colleagues with accessing quality control inspection system. Handle all system reporting requests. Monitor and evaluate QC inspections to ensure compliance. Analyze QC inspection data to identify trends and recommend solutions. Collaborate with the contract site staff to coordinate appropriate training as determined through data collection and analysis. Collaborate with the safety function to assist with appropriate training as determined through data collection and analysis. Provide quality principles and quality control training, and train-the-trainer activities at contract sites. Work with contract sites to appropriately document training efforts. Ensure compliance with contract and corporate requirements. Perform training validation activities for quality control program. Conduct training refreshers to Leads/Supervisors and possibly staff (job-specific training). Conduct technical training for PMs/Management Team as needed.
