Responsible for effectively handling contacts in support of DMDC customers and their families. Contacts primarily enter as faxes requiring assessment of materials for completeness and accuracy, a review of existing or new case requirements and subsequent document imaging and appropriate retention or destruction per guidelines. Accurately documents inquiry outcomes for tracking and analysis. Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the organization to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and timely. Applies standard operating or corrective procedure, refers problems that do not respond to preplanned procedure, and may serve as an assistant operator, working under general supervision.
